Dr. Anne Marie Egan received her undergraduate degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and her clinical doctorate in Audiology from UNC-Chapel Hill. Dr. Egan has extensive experience in Dementia Art Therapy, which is particularly relevant to her commitment to helping all people hear their best for the rest of their life. Researchers have shown that treating hearing loss as soon as possible can reduce the risk of dementia (including Alzheimer’s) and improve a person’s quality of life.

In her graduate studies, Dr. Egan focused on best practices of audiological care and adult hearing aid programming so that she could provide exceptional hearing care to all her patients. You will quickly learn upon meeting Dr. Egan that she is always eager to learn and improve. Dr. Egan is happy to answer any questions you may have, and if she does not know the answer, she will gladly research it for you. Her specialties include adult diagnostics, adult hearing aid fitting and programming, tinnitus management, and aural rehabilitation.
She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology, Academy of Doctors of Audiology, and the North Carolina Audiology Association.
In her free time, Dr. Egan can be found walking local trails with her husband and dog, learning a new piano piece, or trying to keep her vegetable garden alive.
