Dr. Philip Griffin, AuD

Doctor of Audiology, ABA Board Certified in Audiology

Dr. Griffin joined Now Hear This® in order to provide high quality audiological care in Raleigh, his home state of North Carolina. He graduated and received his clinical training from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s School of Medicine’s Division of Speech and Hearing Sciences, one of the nation’s top ranked Audiology programs. Recently Dr. Griffin was selected as a prestigious 2016 Health Care Hero by the Triangle Business Journal. Dr. Griffin has focused his clinical attention on providing the most detailed and accurate hearing aid fittings possible. Because hearing is like a fingerprint, unique to each person, he believes that an accurate and verified hearing aid fitting is essential, and provides the patient with the best opportunity to hear as much as they possibly can.

Dr. Griffin truly believes that hearing is not just sounds, but it is the act of engaging. His motto is, “No one should go throughout life not hearing his or her best.” He argues that hearing is the most important of our five senses because without hearing we cannot connect with people and fully engage with life in the way that we are meant to.

Dr. Griffin’s prior experience focused on dizziness, imbalance, and fall prevention. Dr. Griffin completed a year-long full time externship at The American Institute of Balance, one of the nation’s largest and most advanced specialty centers for dizziness and balance disorders. He also has expertise in hearing evaluation and hearing rehabilitation through hearing aids, assistive devices, and communication counseling.
