Hearing Aid Repair & Care

Patients love that they can often walk-in and drop off their aids for quick assistance, and we love having audiology assistants to help provide this service.

As we have had many questions about this process in the past few months, we thought it would be helpful to provide additional information to all our patients on how the service works.

Please keep in mind the following tips if you are considering using our hearing aid drop-off process in the future:

Hearing aid drop-offs are handled by our audiology assistant on a first-come, first-serve basis. If it is a quiet day in the clinic, there is a chance the aids may be serviced within the same day. We guarantee a 24-hour turnaround time for hearing aid drop-offs. However, it’s important to keep in mind the following:

Mondays and Fridays are the busiest days for drop-offs, as folks realize they need help right after socializing on the weekend or right before. Keep in mind with 24-hour turnaround, if you want your aids working well for the weekend, they should be dropped off Thursday!

The clinic is busiest mid-day with phone calls and appointments. Early morning, such as 8:30-10:30am, or later afternoon, 2-4pm, are easier bets for quicker turnaround with your devices.

Please also keep in mind that the drop-off process is best for troubleshooting basic things like hearing aids being dead, weak, or intermittent! Other topics such as whistling/feedback, programming adjustments, or physical fit are best handled by an appointment with one of our Doctors of Audiology.
