Karina Ealey, Patient Care Coordinator

Karina Ealey serves as our Full-Time Patient Coordinator. Originally from Queens, NY, she made Raleigh her home in 1988. With a rich family life, Karina is a proud mother of three daughters and a grandmother to two grandsons and a granddaughter.

Bringing over 30 years of expertise in office administration, customer service, and health insurance, Karina is a valuable asset to our team. Beyond her professional endeavors, she finds joy in dancing and immersing herself in music whenever she can.

During her downtime, you’ll often find her enjoying a refreshing swim or indulging in the tranquility of nature. However, above all else, Karina cherishes moments spent with her family.

My name is Karina Ealey! I’m a Patient Care Coordinator here at Now Hear This, and I come from the background of working in insurance companies and doctor’s offices. I have administrative experience for over 30 years, and I feel really blessed that I was able to join the whole team at Now Hear This and to be able to grow with them.

The reason why I love this job, and I really, really look forward to coming to work every day, is to see the joy that comes from the patients as their lives are changing in a positive way. Just being able to hear again is something that most people take for granted. But these patients, these wonderful patients that come here, they’re impacted in a way that it really gives me joy to see. They can hear little things, like hearing me typing on a keyboard or they hear a phone ring in the background. It’s amazing to see the joy that comes from them.

And another thing why I love working here is because I’m never by myself as far as figuring things out and learning the whole organization. The doctors here, they are actually willing to teach me everything I need to know so that I can be good at my position and so that we can basically help the patient, and that’s what it’s all about.

So I’m looking forward to meeting all the new patients that I have yet to meet. And the patients that I’ve met already are amazing. It’s like I’m getting to know each one of them, and it’s just been a really good blessing for me. I’m actually looking forward to us growing, and I’m actually looking forward to each day coming to work, and I just feel blessed.
