Hey everyone, it’s Dr. Shopovick here and we have some really really exciting news going on with our clinic and with the community. So one of my lovely patients asked us if we had a support group for individuals who wear hearing aids just because she’s been struggling with it a lot, especially in the workplace.
So I just thought this was a wonderful idea. And it’s definitely needed in our community so our clinic decided to create a group called “Ear-Resistible” community and this group is created on the “Meet-Up” app so you can download it on your iPhone or your android.
Again the app is called “Meet-Up” and we’re also going to be posting this on our website so if you can’t find it on the app, we will be posting a link. We also have these flyers right here with the QR code so you can scan it on your phone and it’ll bring you to the app.
We are super super excited about this. Essentially this group is going to be like a hearing loss support group so whether you are new and just now experiencing hearing loss or hearing loss for many many years or even childhood, this would be a wonderful group to join. It’s going to be fun to meet other people in the community and it’ll just be a great time.
We plan to hopefully meet once a month and this will be at restaurants or bars or yoga classes, just really fun events for everyone where we can share our experience. So there will be a lot of people in there that wear hearing aids and then we also have kind of like the Healthcare. I’ll be joining the meetings as well just to offer support and great resources.
