Why You Should Choose a Hearing Aid Clinic That Works with All 7 Manufacturers

When it comes to treating hearing loss, one of the most important decisions you’ll make isn’t just which hearing aids to choose—it’s which hearing aid clinic you trust to guide you. And one factor that can make a major difference in your outcome is whether that clinic works with all major hearing aid manufacturers.

At Now Hear This®, we specialize in providing access to all seven leading manufacturers because we believe your hearing care should be built around you—not limited by a clinic’s inventory.

More Options = Better Outcomes

Every brand of hearing aids brings something different to the table. Some excel in noisy environments, others offer superior music quality, and some focus on seamless Bluetooth connectivity and smartphone integration. If a clinic only offers one or two brands, your options are restricted from the start. But when a hearing aid clinic works with all seven manufacturers, you gain access to the full spectrum of technology available—making it far more likely you’ll find the perfect match for your specific hearing loss and lifestyle.

The Right Fit for Your Ears

Comfort is critical to long-term success with hearing aids, and fit can vary significantly between manufacturers. Each brand designs its own domes, receivers, and custom earpieces, meaning one brand may feel completely different from another. By working with all major manufacturers, we can trial different options to ensure your hearing aids are secure, comfortable, and built for all-day wear. This reduces the chances of discomfort, poor performance, or the need for unnecessary adjustments or hearing aid repair due to fit-related issues.

Technology Tailored to You

Not everyone wants the same features in their hearing aids. Some patients want advanced app control, Bluetooth streaming, and hands-free calling. Others prefer a simple, automatic device that requires minimal interaction.

Different manufacturers specialize in different types of technology. A clinic that works with all seven can recommend solutions based on your comfort with technology, daily routine, and communication needs—rather than trying to make a limited product lineup fit every patient.

Performance That Matches Your Lifestyle

From background noise management to tinnitus support to phone streaming, performance varies across brands. What works best for someone in a quiet home environment may not be ideal for someone who spends time in restaurants, meetings, or social gatherings.

At a clinic that offers all manufacturers, your provider can fine-tune both the device selection and programming to match your real-world listening environments—leading to better clarity, confidence, and satisfaction.

Long-Term Support and Hearing Aid Repair

Hearing aids are an investment that typically lasts four to seven years. Over that time, you may need maintenance, adjustments, or hearing aid repair. A clinic that is experienced with all major brands is better equipped to service and support your devices—no matter which manufacturer they come from.

This means fewer limitations and more reliable care throughout the life of your hearing aids.

Personalized Care Without Limitations

No two people experience hearing loss the same way. Your hearing profile, ear anatomy, lifestyle, and preferences are unique—and your treatment should reflect that. Choosing a hearing aid clinic that works with all seven manufacturers ensures your care is driven by what’s best for you, not by what’s easiest for the clinic to provide.

Experience the Difference

At Now Hear This®, we act as your partner in better hearing—carefully matching you with the right technology, providing ongoing support, and ensuring your hearing aids continue to perform at their best.

If you’re exploring hearing aids or looking for a clinic that offers truly personalized care, working with a provider that supports all seven manufacturers is one of the smartest decisions you can make.

“Hi, I’m Dr. Egan from Now Hear This® and today I’m going to talk to you about why it’s important that hearing aid and audiology clinics work with all the different hearing aid manufacturers. When people start looking into hearing aids, one thing they often don’t realize is that not all hearing aids are the same—and neither are the clinics that provide them. Some clinics only work with one or two manufacturers, which means the options you see might be limited in what they carry. This is because it takes a lot of extra time and training to be specialized in all seven hearing aid manufacturers, and that’s something that we do because we believe it’s important to provide the best possible audiologic care. That’s also one of the many reasons why we’ve been voted Raleigh’s best by the Raleigh News and Observer over the past five years.

Let’s break down some different reasons you might want to consider different hearing aid manufacturers. First, domes and earpieces fit differently depending on the brand. Every hearing aid brand has its own unique set of rubber tips and fitting pieces that go in your ear. Just as no two ears are exactly alike, we want to have as many options as possible to ensure the hearing aids are secure, snug, and comfortable for every single
person who walks into our clinic. For individuals with more uniquely shaped ears, sometimes you have to try several manufacturers before finding that perfect fit. That’s important because we don’t want to fit someone with a brand that doesn’t sit well, only for it to fall off and create unnecessary frustration or cost.

Another reason is that Bluetooth technology varies between brands. Some hearing aids have apps with features that others don’t offer. As we get to know our patients and understand their listening and communication needs, we can tailor recommendations based on whether they’re tech-savvy and want all the bells and whistles, or prefer something more automatic that adjusts on its own. Programming features also differ between brands—some perform better in background noise, others excel with music, tinnitus support, or phone streaming. We spend a lot of time getting to know our patients and then carefully match them with the product, brand, and model that will suit them best.

Hearing aids typically last four, five, even seven years, so it’s important to get the fit and functionality right from the start. You can think of us as matchmakers between your hearing loss, your listening needs, and what’s available on the market. Having access to a wide range of options allows us to find the best possible fit for each individual, and that’s really where we excel. I hope you learned something today about the different hearing aid manufacturers and why it’s important to work with a clinic that offers a full range of options. My name is Dr. Egan—have a wonderful rest of your day.”
