“Hello, my name is Dawn Geda. I am the practice manager at Now Hear This Audiology in Raleigh, North Carolina. I have been with the clinic since the beginning, so going on 11 years. I am originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan in a small community just outside of Ann Arbor called South Lyon, and I lived there most of my life until my family moved here in June of 2009. Before working in the medical field my job was in the legal field and that’s really what I went to school for. But once I moved to the Raleigh area I really wanted to look at different paths that could be offered to me here.
So I started interviewing and found out about this audiology practice and what made them different, and that was really intriguing to me. I loved the idea of working with the older and aging population and people with hearing loss. I am a very social person. I love people, I love working with people, I love helping people. And so, when I found out what this practice was about, I thought this could be a really good job for me. And I actually started out as a patient care coordinator, and I loved the job. The business took off, it did great. And you know, as life goes on you miss your grandparents, and I was really close to my grandparents, and that’s what I really love about this job is, like I said before, working with the aging demographic, and so now it’s like I have 3500 grandparents, which is awesome.
I really love making a difference in people’s lives. I did not realize how much hearing loss affected people’s everyday life until I started working here and learning about hearing loss. We really take it for granted. So, when I know I am coming into work in the morning and that I’m going to make a difference in someone’s everyday quality of life, that’s just everything to me. I could not have a better job. The other thing I really love about my job is that we have an exceptional team here. We’re all on the same page, we all work with the same philosophy, which is great care to our patients all the time, every day, and that is the priority here. And, so working with a great team really helps make my job pleasurable and that I look forward to coming to every morning.
I hope you were able to learn some valuable information about me. I thank you for watching this video and learning about me and Now Hear This Audiology, and I hope to see you sometime soon in our clinic!”

“Having been in healthcare for over 30 years and raising 5 children I have needed the care of dozens of Dr’s and healthcare offices. I have visited and consulted with Drs and staff in multiple states as a consultant and provider. Dr Egan and the staff at Now Hear This in Raleigh are superb! Her personal attention and caring attitude is a model for all Drs. I encourage anyone that reads this review to accept nothing but the best in healthcare.
